American depository receipts of Asian stocks were trading 0.27% lower at 154.27 on the Bank of New York Mellon Asia ADR Index on Thursday. In North Asia, the gainers were led by online game developer The9 (NCTY), and casino and resort operator Melco Crown Entertainment (MPEL), which rose 4.6% and 3.7% respectively. They were followed by 51job (JOBS), a provider of human resource services, and marketing and branding company Acorn (ATV), which were up 2% and 1.6% respectively.
The decliners in North Asia were led by aluminum producer Aluminum Corporation of China (ACH), and online retailer LightInTheBox (LITB), which fell 3.1% and 2.9% respectively. They were followed by financial services provider Fanhua (FANH),down 2.8%, and JMU Limited (JMU), a business-to-business e-commerce platform operator, off 2.7%.
In South Asia, the gainers were led by ICICI Bank (IBN), which rose 2.6%, followed by pharmaceutical firm Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories (RDY), and direct-to-home video provider Videocon d2h (VDTH), which were up 0.8% and 0.1% respectively.
